NYT's Latest Hit Piece: Kavanaugh Allegedly Threw Ice on Someone in College

Liz Swisher a former Yale classmate of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh alleges he lied under oath to the Senate Judiciary Committee

They had just come from seeing the English reggae band UB40 at a nearby venue in New Haven, Connecticut, when they saw a man who resembled the lead singer.

Ludington said he approached the man to ask. "He was New Haven tough".

North Carolina State University professor Chad Ludington has joined a handful of other former classmates of Brett Kavanaugh in contradicting the Supreme Court nominee's claims about his past drinking habits. "But it's not credible for him to say that he has had no memory lapses in the nights that he drank to excess". He has strongly denied the accusation.

"If I were doing the interview, I would want to get as many specifics as I could", Stuber said. He liked to do beer bongs. I still like beer.

Ludington told The Post that his recollection differed.

The most senior Democrat on the Senate's Judiciary Committee, Dianne Feinstein, has sent a letter urging the White House to release the written directive sent by President Trump to the FBI launching the investigation. Parts of the incident are corroborated by a police report.

A witness to the fight said that Chris Dudley, a Yale basketball player who was friends with Mr. Kavanaugh, then hit the man in the ear with a glass, according to the police report, which was obtained by The New York Times.

Another former classmate, Lynne Brookes, accused Kavanaugh of trying to paint himself as "some kind of choir boy". In a brief interview, Dudley disputed Ludington's account. This prompted Kavanaugh - who may get a lifetime job in the highest court in America - to allegedly throw his beer at his accusee, striking him with the bottle.

Noticing they were staring at him, the man aggressively told the quartet to stop, at which point Kavanaugh "threw his beer at the guy", Ludington said.

Sams, a lawyer in Atlanta who was a fraternity brother of Kavanaugh and Dudley, said he does not remember seeing Kavanaugh there. "Not one time", Dudley said.

Julie Swetnick says she went to house parties attended by Judge Kavanaugh in the early 1980s, where she said he and his friends had tried to "spike" girls' drinks.

The Post could find no record of a formal charge or conviction from the event.

Dudley, Oregon's Republican nominee for governor in 2010, has been a vocal Kavanaugh supporter. Put aside the fact that there's no logical connection between the two anyway, or that one blackout somehow proves sexual assault; they haven't even been able to show that Kavanaugh blacked out from drinking ever.

The White House did not have any immediate reaction on behalf of itself or Kavanaugh, but directed CNN to comments made by Chris Dudley, a close friend of Kavanaugh's and a former National Basketball Association player. "There was drinking and there was alcohol".

"I was with Brett frequently in college, whether it be in the gym, in class or socializing". The spokesperson, however, said the reporting should have been assigned to another person. "He was an incredibly humble guy".

"It is truth that is at stake", Ludington said in a statement.
